Haifeng Liu Joins Huaweike As Chief Technology Officer To Lead TIP Platform And Drive Strategic Elevation

Wuhan, China – Huaweike (HIT) officially announced today that Mr. Haifeng Liu has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In his new role, Mr. Liu will lead the development of Huaweike's Tactile Intelligence Platform (TIP), advance the company's software, algorithmic, and engineering capabilities, and oversee long-term technical architecture and strategic planning.

Cross-Domain Technical and Leadership Expertise

Dr. Haifeng Liu brings nearly two decades of expertise in technical R&D and executive management. His career spans across internet infrastructure, consumer electronics, and embodied intelligence, with a proven track record in large-scale system architecture, data and algorithmic engineering systems, and complex R&D organizational leadership.

  • JD.com: Served as Vice President of Technology and Chief Architect, building modern infrastructure for large-scale online retail systems.

  • OPPO: Served as CTO of Internet Business and President of the Digital Intelligence Engineering Department, leading the development of cloud data platforms, AI algorithms, and smart product systems.

  • Embodied AI: In recent years, Dr. Liu has focused on embodied intelligence, serving as CTO and technical co-founder at robotics enterprises, where he led the construction of robotic software platforms, data feedback loops, and embodied AI brain systems.

Bridging Advanced Technology with Real-World Value

As AI accelerates its integration with physical industries, tactile perception is becoming a critical foundation connecting physical reality with intelligent systems. Huaweike has long dedicated itself to innovation and industrial application in flexible tactile sensing. As the company expands, strengthening software, algorithm, and systems engineering-while enabling efficient cross-technology synergy-remains a top priority for its next phase of growth.

Huaweike is driven by a dual-engine strategy: "IDM Manufacturing Platform + TIP Data Platform," redefining tactile technology from "How to Make" to "How to Use."

  • IDM Manufacturing Platform: Establishes an end-to-end, fully controllable manufacturing ecosystem covering equipment, materials, and sensor devices, solving the challenge of high-quality, large-scale hardware production.

  • TIP Tactile Intelligence Platform: Addresses industrial deployment across diverse sectors through a closed data flywheel-enabling sensor deployment, data collection, model training, and scene optimization to bring tactile capabilities into real-world applications.

Dr. Liu's extensive experience in large-scale system architecture and data engineering perfectly aligns with TIP's strategic needs. His appointment will significantly strengthen Huaweike's technical capacity, accelerate product innovation, address customer demand, and transition AI tactile technology from laboratory breakthroughs to scalable industrial adoption.

"Over the past few years, we have established a strong mass-production lead in flexible tactile sensor hardware. Our next critical core mission is to transform every piece of electronic skin from a passive sensing component into an active node in a broader data network, turning every tactile interaction into fuel that drives model evolution," said Xiaohui Zhu, CEO of Huaweike.

"We are currently building an ultra-large-scale multimodal tactile dataset powered by the TIP platform to bridge the gap in high-fidelity tactile alignment data. Dr. Haifeng Liu's deep expertise will greatly accelerate this journey and elevate our IDM + TIP dual-engine layout to new heights."

Looking ahead, Huaweike will continue to emphasize both technological innovation and industrial application, reinforcing its core competencies to deliver long-term value for customers and the broader robotics and automation industry.

We warmly welcome Haifeng to Huaweike and look forward to shaping the future of tactile intelligence together.
