Fifteen years of dedicated excellence pave the way for a far-reaching new journey. On May 15, 2026, coinciding with the 15th anniversary of HIT's establishment, the groundbreaking ceremony for Phase I of the HIT Flexible Intelligent Sensor Production Project was grandly celebrated at the Gedian Economic and Technological Development Zone in Ezhou, Hubei Province. This milestone signifies a major evolutionary step for HIT as it deepens its integrated device manufacturer (IDM) model and scales up massive production capabilities for flexible intelligent sensors.

Distinguished Guests Gather to Celebrate

The event brought together an esteemed roster of leadership, academia, and industry pioneers. Distinguished attendees included Professor Yin Zhouping, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Dean of the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology; Mr. Zhang Quan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Ezhou Municipal Party Committee, Executive Vice Mayor, and Party Working Committee Secretary of the Gedian Economic and Technological Development Zone; Mr. Huang Xiaoming and Mr. Huang Weidong, Deputy Directors of the Gedian Development Zone Administrative Committee; alongside Mr. Wang Yuhui, Chairman of HIT, and Mr. Zhu Xiaohui, General Manager of HIT. More than a hundred prominent figures from government offices, universities, investment firms, and strategic corporate partners gathered together to witness this momentous corporate milestone.

Following a vibrant and traditional lion dance performance bringing auspicious blessings and energy to the site, the groundbreaking ceremony officially commenced.

Strategic Evolution and Core Capabilities

Mr. Zhu Xiaohui, General Manager of HIT, delivered a comprehensive retrospective on the company's entrepreneurial journey and strategic transformation. Originating as a specialized provider of industrial RFID hardware systems, HIT secured the top position in domestic market share within the industrial RF sector by 2023. Capitalizing on deep academic collaborations and R&D synergy with Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the company successfully pivoted towards flexible intelligent sensors in 2024.

Through this powerful technology transfer framework, HIT pioneered the nation's first electronic skin for wind turbine blade icing monitoring (recognized as a national major energy equipment premiere system) and developed the world's first flexible electronic skin for automotive smart cockpits, establishing a mass-production framework capable of delivering 2 million units annually. Furthermore, within the humanoid robotics sector, HIT's specialized sensors reached an annual shipment milestone of over 10,000 units, securing a market share exceeding 70% and providing technological coverage to over 85% of downstream robotics manufacturers.

Visioning the Future of Smart Interaction

Looking ahead, Mr. Zhu emphasized: "In this transformative AI era, we are deeply committed to accelerating the deployment of flexible electronics to achieve seamless intelligent interaction across the Internet of Things."

The newly launched Phase I facility spans a planned area of 15,000 square meters with a total investment capital of 150 million RMB. The initial batch of production lines is scheduled to go live in October 2026. By 2027, the factory's annual manufacturing capacity is projected to exceed 30 million units, driving an estimated annual output value above 500 million RMB. Engineered to stand as a world-class premier manufacturing center for flexible electronics, the advanced facility will fully integrate self-developed roll-to-roll (R2R) full-printing automated equipment lines, setting a definitive benchmark for smart manufacturing industries worldwide.
