HIT Joins MIIT Standardization Committee For Humanoid Robotics & Embodied AI

Appointed to WG1 (Overall) and WG2 (Limbs & Components) working groups, HIT transitions from market leader to global standard co-creator in flexible tactile sensing.

 

SHAOXING, CHINA – July 15, 2026 - At the 2026 Annual Meeting & "Standard Week" of the Standardization Technical Committee for Humanoid Robotics and Embodied AI (MIIT/TC8) under China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, HIT was officially awarded membership certificates for WG1 (Overall Working Group) and WG2 (Limb & Components Working Group).

As a key member of both working groups, HIT will play an active role in formulating macro-level technical rules as well as setting core standards for perception modules and tactile sensing in humanoid robotics.

Embodied AI and humanoid robotics are entering a critical phase of rapid growth and application deployment. In February 2026, the MIIT/TC8 committee introduced China's first full-lifecycle top-level architecture: the Humanoid Robotics and Embodied AI Standard System (2026 Edition), spanning six key pillars: basic commonality, brain-like computing, limbs & components, complete systems, applications, and safety/ethics.
